Last year we celebrated the Queen’s Jubilee with garden parties, food, music and memorabilia; it seemed like the whole of Britain came together to applaud the Queen, her reign and what it means to be British.
Now in 2013 we have another royal landmark to celebrate, as Kate Middleton has now retired from the public eye to await the birth of her child. Kate Middleton and Prince William’s first child is expected in July, and it seems the whole world is waiting with baited breath to discover the sex and name of the new arrival.
To mark the occasion, the high street has gone crazy with royal memorabilia; including royal themed baby grows and toys. According to recent news, Britain is expected to spend millions celebrating the birth of the Royal arrival, with parties, champagne and shopping sprees. In fact, if you’re expecting a child, don’t be surprised if you receive a Royal themed baby gift!
If you’re over 6 months pregnant you will probably be thinking about Maternity leave, and perhaps planning some private time with your loved ones before the birth. If you’re planning a trip abroad, just remember to invest in quality travel insurance which will cover your pregnancy. Many insurers limit cover to 28 weeks, and many airlines will require a ‘Fit to Fly’ letter from your Doctor to allow you to board after this time.
Make sure you double check your plans, and read any small print carefully. Just make sure you can access the news in July, so you don’t miss out on the Royal event.
