To help you plan your next trip, or simply add to your list, here are our top five motorcycle roads in the world to get you inspired.
Amalfi Coast – Italy
Also known as the ‘road of a thousand bends’, the Amalfi coast is a beautiful mix of stunning coastal scenes and adrenaline pumping twist and turns. This drive offers the perfect mix of adventure, travel and excitement.
Karakoram Highway – Pakistan to China
The Karakoram Highway is the highest border crossing in the world, and one of the few routes which crosses the Himalayas. A brach of the ancient Silk Road, and at an elevation of over 15,000 feet, you won’t be disappointed by the views.
The Jebel Hafeet Mountain Road – Abu Dhabi
With 60 corners and a racetrack smooth surface, the road cut into the Jebel Hafeet Mountain is a fantastic choice for bikers. The road climbs nearly 4,000 feet on an 8% gradient, offering riders a perfect mix of fast straights and sweeping curves.
Transfagarasan Road – Romania
The Transfagarasan Highway offers beautiful scenery and challenging roads, but beware of sharp corners, sheer drops and sheep! Don’t just plan your trip by distance, give yourself plenty of time. The road is closed in bad weather and in winter, so check before you start your journey.
Trollstigen – Norway
Known as ‘the Troll Ladder’, Trollstigen is a steep and winding mountain road crisscrossed by waterfalls and usually wet from rain and mist. The ride is challenging, but if you reach the top you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views from the top.
