California Shooting.

This morning, a gunman opened fire at several locations in Northern California, including an elementary school. Everyone at Holidaysafe was extremely shocked by the attack, and our sincerest wishes go out to all of the people and families involved in this terrible incident.

What has happened:

At just before 8am on 15th November 2017 the gunman began his rampage about 120 miles away from Sacramento, at a home in Rancho Tehama and finished during a shoot-out between the gunman and the police in which they had to ram his vehicle off the road.

Four people are known to be dead and so far 10 others are injured, including a student from the school. One of the four victims was a female neighbour, who had a restraining order against him resulting from an assault in January.

Thanks to the quick thinking of the school, who initiated their lockdown procedure, many lives were saved.

Vice President Mike Pence wrote on Twitter: “Saddened to hear of the shooting in N. California, the loss of life & injuries, including innocent children. We commend the effort of courageous law enforcement. We’ll continue to monitor the situation & provide federal support, as we pray for comfort & healing for all impacted.” (source)

Another neighbour also stated that they had made the gunman known to the police that he had been threatening them and been shooting a lot of bullets recently.
