Scotland Named a Must Visit 2017 Destination
With so many destinations to visit around the world, it is easy to forget the abundance of choices the UK has to offer for staycations. However, Scotland has now come second in Rough Guide’s 2017 must visit destinations list, beaten only by India which came in first place.
The experts at Rough Guides voted Scotland into second place because of its amazing wildlife, delicious whisky and warm atmosphere. Scotland also offers a host of new attractions, including the new North Coast 500; the perfect road trip to showcase Scotland’s beauty, from the Highlands to white sand beaches.
2017 also marks the 20th anniversary of the first Harry Potter book, so it is the perfect time to grab the kids and hop on the Jacobite steam train (aka the Hogwarts Express). Not only will the kids love the ‘magic’ of the journey, but you’ll also appreciate the breath taking views.
