Travelling Couple set to Marry 38 Times around the World

Most Brides dream about their big day from childhood, already knowing the dress, flowers and venue they want for their big day. However, one bride was so unsure of what she wanted, that she decided to have 38 ceremonies around the world, instead of limiting herself to just one.

Rhiann Woodyard and Cheetah Platt originally considered getting married somewhere in their hometown in Los Angeles, but couldn’t find anything which was special enough in their price range. Therefore they decided to start a fundraising account on a honeymoon site, and saved enough for two $3,000 round the world tickets.

To save money the couple plan to wear the same dress / suit for each wedding, and have each been ordained online by the Church of Spiritual Humanists, so they can marry themselves instead of paying for an officiant each time.

The couple left LA in February, and have already married in Columbia, Spain, Ireland, Kenya, Morocco, Thailand, India and Egypt. They plan to travel to 6 continents and 12 countries in total, conducting 38 ceremonies during their 90 day trip.

The couple have since gained international attention for their unique take on weddings abroad, and have appeared in newspapers and websites around the world, plus appearing on programmes such as CNN, Good Morning America and The Today Show! (According to their Facebook Page).
