Whilst comparing rates on travel insurance is important to ensure you are not paying to much, the old adage that you get what you pay for could not be more true. Remember that price is only half of the comparison, you should also look at the maximum levels of cover being offered as well as inner limits such as cash, valuables and single article limits.

Excesses are also important as this is the amount that you will have to pay, should you claim against the policy. Generally speaking the higher the excess the cheaper the policy will be, but this could leave you out of pocket should something happen whilst you are travelling.
