Eye of the Ocean

Whether you are a keen diver or first timer, pictures like these make you want to grab your gear and get diving, especially when on holiday.

Eye-of-the-Ocean

Over 70% of the world is ocean, that’s nearly three quarters of the world that you can only explore by grabbing your wetsuit and taking a look yourself.

But are you covered?

What we mean by that is, have you checked that your travel insurance covers you to dive? Not all of them do, so you may want to check your policy wording before heading out on the water. Many policies will cover scuba diving, but only as part of a group or down to shallow depths – furthermore, they are unlikely to offer cover for your equipment as standard.

At Holidaysafe we understand that travelling the world in search of visions like these is a passionate hobby for many, and that is why we have created a specialist travel insurance policy for Scuba Diving enthusiasts.

We cover you to dive down to 50m (accompanied) as standard, plus activities like shark diving and BOB. More extreme activities, such as mixed gas diving, solo diving and cave diving can also be covered for an additional premium.

Furthermore, our specialist policy also provides cover in case your equipment is lost, stolen or damaged.

If medically necessary, we provide cover for specialist medical emergency treatment such as search and rescue or hyperbaric chamber treatment, and our doctor managed 24/7 medical emergency helpline will provide help and support.

We will also cover you if you are unable to dive due to injury or illness, or if the weather is pants, something that we think is an added bonus for you.
