Happy New Year from Holidaysafe

On behalf of everyone at Holidaysafe, I would just like to wish you a very Happy New Year!

Year 2016 written on sand at sunset

Today we fully expect the majority of people to be recovering from their New Year’s Eve festivities, and to be thinking about their New Year’s resolutions. Most resolutions will probably involve getting fit, becoming healthier or learning a new skill – but why not make your resolutions a bit more fun this year?
To this end, we asked the Holidaysafe team for their 2016 travel resolutions, and got some amazing responses. Hopefully these will inspire you to tick some items off your bucket list, or even just make some fantastic memories in 2016;

Learn a new language

We loved this idea because not only are you learning a new skill, but it will also open your travel horizons. No matter which language you choose to learn, the fact you can clearly communicate with locals will help you fully immerse yourself into their culture. Plus, you’ll just have to visit the destination again and again to keep the practice going.

Step outside your Comfort Zone

Perhaps you’re a sun worshiper who heads to the same beach each and every year? Why not try something a bit different this year by heading to Iceland in search of the Northern Lights, enjoying a cruise, or even a city break to explore something different. Remember, there’s a whole world out there just ready to be explored!

Tick something off your Bucket List

2016 should be the year that we all blow the cobwebs off our bucket lists and make some memories. Whether you want to travel Route 66 on a vintage bike, visit the Taj Mahal, bungee jump in New Zealand or travel Europe by train, now is your time!
