Royal County Down
- The club opened back in March 1889 in Newcastle, County Down, and is one of the oldest golf clubs in Ireland.
- It encompasses two courses; the Championship Course and the Annesley Links, both 18-hole courses.
- In 2007 it was ranked the first best course outside of the US by Golf Digest.
- The most recent major golfing event held here was the Walker Cup back in 2007.

St Andrews
- Located in St.Andrews, Fife, Scotland, golf has been played here since the 15th Century and is well known as the ‘ Home of Golf’.
- There is also a golf academy located here as well as three clubhouses and the Tom Morris Shop – the oldest golf shop in the world.
- The grounds are almost 300 hectares with the Castle Course taking up nearly 90 of them.
- More than 230,000 rounds of golf are played here each year.

Royal Dornoch
- Established in 1877 and located in Dornoch, Sutherland, Scotland.
- Although it has never hosted any of the modern professional tournaments, the Championship Course still managed to rank number 3 on the 2007 Golf Digest list of Top 100 International courses.
- The British Amateur Championship was held here in 1985 and the Scottish Amateur back in 1993,2000 and more recently in 2012.
- It hosts two courses, the Championship Course and the Struie Course, both offering 18-holes.

Muirfield
- Privately owned, it is home to The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers. Located in Guillane, East Lothian, Scotland. Established all the way back in 1744.
- Until 2017, women were unable to become members at this course, and were only permitted as a visitor or guest.
- It has been home of The Open Championship since 1892, after the extension of the course from 16 holes to 18.
- As of 2018, it has been named the 4th best golf course in the world according to Golf Digest.

Sunningdale
- Located in Sunningdale, Berkshire the course was established in 1900 with 200 original members.
- With two courses, aptly named the Old Course and the New Course, both have 18 holes and were built in 1901 and 1923 respectively.
- The Open Championship Final Qualifying has been held here on and off since 1926. Most recently between 2004-2014 for players wanting to qualify.
- The Senior Open Championship was played on the Old Course at the end of July 2015.
