Holidaysafe.co.uk provides two kinds of travel insurance policies to cater for travellers going away for an extra long holiday.

Backpacking Travel Insurance
This policy has been designed with the student in mind, up to age 40, who is going away on a gap year trip in Europe or further afield. As backpacking travellers usually travel light and want to keep the costs down the cover has been tailored to suit, providing a no frills, good value travel insurance whilst maintaining the necessary holiday medical and repatriation cover. Personal Possessions are not included.

Longstay Travel Insurance
The Longstay travel insurance policy gives an upgrade by having wider cover, higher sums insured and is available up to age 54 and is very similar to a standard single-trip travel insurance policy. This cover is more suited to the traveller who is taking an extended holiday or leisure break.

Both the Backpacking and Longstay Travel insurance can be arranged for periods of travel from 1 to 18 months. These cover does not cover cruise holidays. Cover for cruise travel insurance is available on Club65.co.uk and Cruisesafe.co.uk

All our policies provide:

Trips up to 18 months in duration

Two return trips home allowed - for up to 21 days per trip

Non manual work such as bar work, teaching or fruit picking
